AVIDstands forAdvancement via IndividualDetermination.It is anelectiveclassduring theregular schoolday that
provides academic instruction and prepares students to go directly toa four-year university. Enrollment in this program is availableto7thand8th-gradestudents at BMMS who fit certain criteria including strong citizenship and work habits, are recommended by teachers, and show individual determination as well as a desire to attend a four-year university. To be considered for the elective class, students are required to complete an application that includes interview questions.
